Several times a year, Sapna Ventures gathers a small group of people in a private room and engages in meaningful discussion.

The majlis has a long history here as a place where those of standing sit together and are held to account by their peers. Sapna Ventures’ forums borrow this form. Attendance runs to a few dozen at most, seating is arranged so that everyone can see everyone else and nobody presents from a stage.

Those in the room typically include policymakers and regulators, senior operators from the industries under discussion, institutional and private investors, academics working on the relevant questions, and specialists brought in for a single session because they know something the rest of the room does not.

Subjects have covered:

  • Technology regulation
  • Geopolitics and the redrawing of trade routes
  • Artificial intelligence and its governance
  • Cybersecurity, the structure of digital markets
  • The capital requirements of the energy transition

The conditions are consistent. No press. No recording. No circulated list of who attended. Remarks are unattributable once the session ends, which is what makes the discussion worth having in the first place.

Final invitations are issued officially by Sapna Ventures and are non-transferable.
